We are so excited to be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2025 and hope you’ll be joining us throughout this milestone year. We have lots of events coming up so do keep a lookout for our emails and social media posts so you don’t miss out!  

 

One of the newest exciting initiatives we’re launching to coincide with our special birthday is our first OSO production.  As you may know, up until now we have only been a ‘receiving house’, which entails us searching for shows we think you would love and booking them for a few days at the OSO. But in 2025 we are also going to bring you two in-house produced shows, both directed by our renowned Artistic Director, Lydia Sax. These shows will also each have two-week runs - another first for us.  

 

Our first production is ‘Things I Know to be True’, selected by Lydia as she feels it’s a deeply universal tale—one that explores love, financial sacrifice, and the shifting tides of culture. It speaks to the losses that emerge between generations, and how love, in its many forms, has the power to both wound and heal. 

 

As you might imagine, such in-house shows require significant extra resources; in order to produce these, we are therefore looking for 25 ‘OSO Theatre Angels’ who will help support these shows by funding elements such as the actors' salaries, sets and costumes, along with other production costs.  If you would like to join the select group of 25 OSO Theatre Angels in our 25th year, then we’d be looking for a minimum donation of £250. In return, you can be added to our exclusive ‘OSO Wall of Angels’ for 2025 in recognition of your invaluable support.  You’ll also receive personal updates from Lydia and me about the shows, as well as being invited to the opening night VIP reception with an opportunity to meet the cast after the show.
